On the occasion of the National Youth Day - August 2007, Datin Hajah Masni binti Haji Mohd Ali, President BASMIDA was awarded the Meritorious Youth Leader Award, and BASMIDA the Youth Association Award by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
In 1998 BASMIDA President became an official member of the Advisory Committee of Rumah Al-Islah. On 9 July 2008, Datin Hajah Masni binti Hji Mohd Ali, as President BASMIDA is appointed by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam as Deputy Chairperson of the Advisory Committee of Rumah Al-Islah and Inhalant Abuse Rehabilitation Centre, which is under the control of the Narcotics Control Bureau.
On the occasion of the 2007 United Nations International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (26th June 2007), BASMIDA launched the Malay translation of the book "Understanding Drug Abuse from Islamic Perspectives - A Guidebook" which was originally published in English by the Drug Advisory Programme (DAP) of the Colombo Plan Secretariat and supported by the Bureau for International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, US Department of State. The Malay translation of the book "Memahami Penagihan Dadah dari Perspektif Islam - Satu Buku Panduan" was done by Datin Hajah Masni binti Haji Mohd Ali with the cooperation of Pusat Da'wah Islamiah, Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Datin Hajah Masni, President BASMIDA has been invited to present a paper on "Success Stories of Drug Abuse Prevention in Brunei Darussalam" at the International Drug Abuse Prevention Conference, 5-8 November 2007 organized by the National Bureau for Controlled Drugs, Department of Health, Taipei. She also participated at the NGO Regional Consultation for Southeast Asia, East Asia and the Pacific as part of the "Beyond 2008 Global NGO Forum" on 31 October to 1 November 2007, Macau. On 7-9 July 2008 she also represented BASMIDA at the "Beyond 2008" International Non-Governmental Organizations Forum in Vienna, Austria organized by the Vienna NGO Committee on Narcotic Drugs in partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
